Why You Need To Choose Your RETIREMENT Goal Over Your Expenditure.

Your retirement is not just about money. Your retirement is about building a future for yourself and a legacy for the next generation.

We are all travelers in this world of indefinite obstacles and breakdowns at a side and triumph and   breakthrough at the other side, but either of this sides, winning in life or regretting some decision depends greatly on us. We determine how our future will turn out to be based on how we laid out our plans for a sumptuous life before laying a foundation and setting out to build our castle of dreams brought to reality. One of them is planning your retirement; You don’t have to say your bit of the “had I known”s of the world’s regret, or reflecting on your past when you’re in the future you viewed, built and painted with your own wins and triumphs or failures and regrets.

Learn from your past actions 

What does a past filled with failed dreams bring other than regrets and regrets and resentments? It keeps coming, the blame, why didn’t I plan better? And one of your thoughts will be, why didn’t I take a bold step when I stumbled on that post on that blog on that faithful day? It’s a series of questions we don’t and won’t stop asking. And that is exactly the reason regret hurts because we never stop asking, and one tragedy about regret is, it’s always past and not what a swift action can have a lot of effect on. Now you see the reason I said ‘we are the Architects of our future’? Because we are responsible for most of the happenings in our life, our actions and inactions, our plan to be successful and our failure to plan which makes us fail and blame our action of not planning.


Just like we all know from the word in its actual context, “Retirement” is always about the future, when we don’t have enough strength like we did in our adulthood when life was smiling at us with a dimpled smile of pleasure, making us enjoy our meal of adulthood with the greatest recipe of successes we either decide to take our opportunity at or forsake, when ‘we were planning our then’. The former is good but the latter is regretful and self-destructive. We have to learn how to take opportunities, and not just taking it, but also making a better use of it.


Having or creating a high-profit margin big-time business is an opportunity, and planning on expanding or extending your products or services rendered is part of making a better use of it. We don’t keep spending without saving and complain of losing all our wealth, our action called for that. But, what most human don’t realize is, we get punished for our actions and decisions, just like the result of our action of spending without saving is losing all our wealth. And the result of working all those years of fruitfulness without a plan for when the energy, power and mindset will be weak, when we’ll retire is ‘not having enough’ or ‘not having at all’. When Life would have shown us the ugliest side of it and taken us through the twists and turns, tested us with its burns and bruises and we don’t want our future generation to go through the same spiral ring of displease we knew how hard it was to withstand its torture, would we?.

Build a legacy for your future 

 


An Empire is built to stay in existence, standing as tall as ever for generations, passed from generation to generation, but having your Empire staying longer than you, standing as tall and as strong as ever is not just a future or success or triumph, it is a Legacy…and that’s hard to rub off, then it becomes a notable part of History. This is the reason business tycoons and icons always stay and exist throughout history, even after their demise because the empire still stands, and that is their Legacy. 

There’s a term called the “Thought Glitch”, and everybody is entitled to a taste from the glitch. Some of us have experienced it and some of us are yet to but will. We buy what we don’t need, and won’t last, but we have doubts on what will last us for a lifetime. We care most about now than we do of the future. It’s all priority for now, but the future is not an option, it’s a compulsion, the dream of every Man.

How you truly want your living to be?

A wise man once said, “Failure to plan is planning to fail, and planning to fail is not planning at all” which is actually and absolutely true. We plan how we live today, now, towards having a better and brighter future, and the moment we get to that future, our now becomes ‘then’ and our ‘future’ becomes a new ‘now’, but on reaching each new nows, we get weaker. So, how are you planning your ‘now’? and what type of ‘then’ do you want to reflect on in the ‘future’? Calling it future makes it rob us of our time, but how long do you want to be robbed off of your time and how worthwhile do you want your living through life to be? 




These are all questions  we will keep asking and getting answers depends and lies greatly on our effort to get it. Our decision plays a long role in determining our life and it all starts with a step, no matter how steep it may seem at first, at least take a step, seek knowledge about a plan for the future you intend building. Let’s build it together, elevate the ideas and ideology and execute it  according to your structure of the future.
